Water Quality Report

Consumer Confidence Reports are developed to comply with the right-to-know provisions in the 1996 Amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act. The Amendments contain several provisions aimed at improving public information about drinking water, including the annual Consumer Confidence Report.

The Safe Drinking Water Act is administered by the U.S.. Environmental Protection Agency and its state partner, The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.

The report must contain information on the quality of the water delivered and characterize the risks (if any) from exposure to contaminant detected in the drinking water. Every community water system has an obligation to ensure that their consumers receive the required information each year by July 1st from sampling results from the previous calendar year.
